If you believe that you have an infection, seek medical attention.

Keep the second skin applied by your artist on the tattoo for approximately 3 days.

  • Carefully remove bandage under warm water, the water should free up the bandage.

  • Do not apply second skin/Saniderm.

  • With clean hands, wash the entire area thoroughly 3 to 5 times a day using fragrance free antibacterial soap.

    • Recommendation: Dial Gold

  • Remove excess blood, lotion, and/or plasma that may have leaked from your tattoo.

  • Gently pat dry, do not rub, using a clean paper towel until area is dry, allowing air exposure before applying your artist recommended ointment.

  • Apply a very light layer of Hustle Butter, Bag Balm, or Aquaphor. NOTE: If using Aquaphor or any other ointment, do not over apply as it will clog the pores.

Some swelling and redness, soreness, and/or weeping may be present.

Most tattoos will go through an itchy phase, do not scratch or pick at your new tattoo.

To help relieve itchiness, pat the area or try applying lotion.
